Step-by-step guide
YuJa is already installed on all campus computers, faculty, staff, and classrooms.
Log into YuJa
Click here to login to YuJa: https://bshp.yuja.com/
Click on 'Sign In' and use your Campus Account credentials to login.
Install YuJa Capture
- NOTE: Off campus users only - if this the first time you launch YuJa Capture. Click the Download button to download and install the application.
- After the download is complete, look in your web browser or system Downloads folder for the .exe file (Windows) or .dmg file (Mac). Here's what it looks like in Google Chrome on Windows, for example:
- After you've installed the app, it only takes a few seconds, return to the YuJa website and click Create Recording. This will launch YuJa Capture to start recording.
Launch Recorder
- To get started, click the Create Recording button in the YuJa Media Library website
- Click the START button
- If the following message appears in the browser, check the box and click 'Open YuJa Software Capture'
Profile Setup
YuJa Capture will allow user to setup a profile and save it for each recorded session.
- Select VIDEO
Turn ON - Video Source (if you want your webcam video to show you in the video)
- Turn OFF - Video Source (if you do not want your webcam video to show you in the video)
Video Source 2 - is set to OFF
Note: If you don’t see your webcam in the list of available devices, make sure your webcam is on and connected to your computer.
- Select AUDIO
Turn ON - Mic Source and select Desktop Microphone (Must be turned ON to record voice with webcam microphone)
- Mic Source 2 - is set to OFF
- Test the microphone by checking the audio meter
Note: If you don’t see your webcam in the list of available devices, make sure your webcam is on and connected to your computer.
- Select SCREEN
Turn ON - Screen Source (Must be turned ON to record primary screen)
- Show Annotation Toolbar - is set to OFF
- Click on Advanced Settings - to select the display to capture (customize which screen to always record on)
- Click 'Custom Display(s) from drop down and select 'Left Display' or 'Right Display' (only one option can be selected)
- Click 'Save'
- Select PROFILE
Save As - Type in the name of your profile you wish to save the settings configured
Click on Disk Icon - to SAVE
Access Save Profile
- Click on PROFILE
- Under Profile select your saved profile
Record Lecture
- Type in a Title
- Click on the 'Start' button to start recording
Configuring the Recording Toolbar While Recording
- From the Recording Toolbar, select the arrow icon on the right hand-side to open a drop-down menu.
- Select one of the following Recording Toolbar options:
- Always show Recording Toolbar while logged in
- Only show Recording Toolbar when recording
- Always hide Recording Toolbar
- Show Annotation Toolbar.
- When you're all done recording, click the Stop button.
- SAVE your capture
